Huion H610 Pro Graphics Drawing Pen Tablet: Despite being the fourth most popular Graphics Tablet according to my stats, the Huion H610 is the Amazon #1 Best Seller in Drawing Tablets/Tables & Boards. Other than the Tucom TS6580b, it’s one of the more affordable and popular Wacom alternatives on the market. Please see a more detailed review summation here.
The Huion H610 Pro has pressure sensitivity, accurate recognition of artwork, a battery free stylus and an ultra-thin, attractive and large active area design. You have a large amount of customization via hotkeys which have a nice feel to them. Users have expressed how beautifully this tablet works and many were former Wacom users. One user declares, “The surface and pen feel like you’re gliding along lightly buttered glass or nice card-stock for a les weird analogy…” However, although the pen is battery free, the Huion P80 pen does require recharging however customers state it has a “super-long life span.”
The main issues are of course with driver installation. Several users express the need to pay attention to software already installed and ensure you have removed all other graphic tablet drivers, pen flics, etc. If it’s anything like the Turcom TS6580, then I can agree that you should make sure you DO NOT plug it in until the drivers are completely installed. Once the drivers are installed, reboot, restart, turn off the internet to prevent Windows automatic plug and play driver then plug in your tablet.
However, for tablet of this size, under $80.00 and with generally high recommendations you can’t beat the price and it is well worth the minimal risk of installation headaches. Every hardware has hiccups from time to time as nothing in the realm of technology is 100% perfect.
